Shirts

Since 2013, the Iliad has celebrated the fall season (the best time for reading!) with a limited edition shirt, each designed by a different artist. These shirts typically sell out quickly, so if you’re interested in getting our next shirt we suggest you subscribe to our e-mail list – that way, you’ll be among the first to know when new shirts go on sale!

In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek at our 2024 Halloween shirt. Artist Raul Flores is an illustrator, cartoonist, sculptor, and reluctant animator. On his work, Raul says, “Influenced by a ton of seemingly disconnected elements, my love of commercial art started at age 3 or 4 with a print advertisement for scotch that featured a beautiful illustration of the Loch Ness monster (the ad appeared in a questionable men’s magazine that I found in a ’70s-era barber shop). My tastes are varied, everything from Francisco Goya prints and vintage children’s book illustration to classic Disney, archaeology, psychedelic art cartooning, and Mad magazine. My main problem is I have to draw or I’m not happy; I must be making something. If a drawing makes me laugh or crack a smile, I just succeeded in being an artist.” Click here to grab a QR code and learn more about Raul!
