This is the first state of the first edition, complete with the light stripe down the title page; light sunning to DJ, 1" stain on spine, tape applied to spine ends, lower corner of front flap clipped (price of $3.95 is still present, however); minor light stains to binding and to fore-edge. A lovely, scarce copy of a modern fantasy classic.

Paul Hunt is a longtime bookseller in L.A.'s literary history. Now he's got a delightful blog, Bookstore Memories, in which he talks about his experiences as a bookseller and L.A.'s storied (pun intended) bookstore history.
Read through individual entries, and you'll find stories about hoarders (and the health hazards of combing through their books!), arguing with Larry McMurtry about writing on typewriters, and even photos of long-gone book oases.
