Well, I'm afraid there's not much of a newsletter this month, given how much of the world - including the Iliad - is on hold during the Covid-19 crisis.
Although we can't tell you at this time when we'll be re-opening, we can give you one exciting bit of news: we're putting this time to use by extensively re-modeling! That's right - the next time you come into the Iliad, the store will have a whole new look. One hint: the main counters will be conveniently located directly by our rear entrance, making for much easier in-and-out access.
We'd also like to take this opportunity to wish a fond farewell to longtime employee Ricky - he was set to retire anyway at the end of March, so his retirement came a little early. Once the world gets back to normal, we wish him many happy days of gardening, fishing, and of course READING!
Also, employee Bob recently underwent surgery to remove a blood clot. Fortunately, Bob is now back home, having made a very impressive recovery. The rest of the Iliad crew is sheltering at home (Lisa is writing this newsletter from home), and looking forward to returning to work sooner rather than later.
Lastly, we want to take this opportunity to thank you for hanging in there with us, with special gratitude to all of you have reached out to us to offer support. Because of the remodeling, we're unable to offer mail order (seriously, it's so big that NOTHING is accessible right now), but if that should change we'll let you know right here.
Stay well and keep reading.
