Have you ever noticed the big safe full of books behind Iliad's front counter? We get asked about it frequently. "Is it really old?" is a common question (the answer: no, we bought it new just a few years ago). Forgive me for hijacking the section where I usually talk about industry-wide book news to instead talk about Zeus and Apollo news!
First off, Apollo was just featured in "The 20 Most Instagrammable Bookstore Cats" at Electric Literature. Thanks to author Jo Lou, and to Eva Bross for the regal photograph of the boy!
And then there's Chronicle Books' new release Bibliophile: An Illustrated Miscellany, a beautifully illustrated love letter to books by Jane Mount. Turn to the section on "Bookstore Cats", and you'll find delightful little portraits of Zeus and Apollo! Yes, we did order some copies of this one, so pick yours up at the store and maybe the boys will "pawtograph" it for you.
